Never forget that “image” forms the root of “imagination”. Another toy for my bag. Another kind of image to look at. Another opportunity to use our imagination in composing the image, making the image, processing the image and looking at the image. The fisheye optic for my Lensbaby Composer arrived on Wednesday and I couldn’t wait to [...] (1/1600 sec @ f/5.6; ISO 100; -1/3 EV; Sunny WB) Another bit of experimenting with the Lensbaby. Just wait until I get the Fisheye optic which should arrive today or tomorrow! This is another image made after the weekend snowfall but later in the morning than the previous two blog postings (which were made at sunrise). I [...] Sunday was a strange day to say the least. I was up well before dawn and drove 40 minutes to greet sunrise at Peace Valley Park. The good news was that the sun came up. The bad news was it was very boring… even in that 30 minute period between civil twilight and actual sunrise. [...] … Lensbaby images. I hear the groans. I understand. I attended a presentation last night by Tony Sweet, he of the workshop I attended back in late October and one heck of a photographer. He also happens to be a Lensbaby “guru” and presented some Lensbaby images during the course of his presentation. I also had [...] It was just that kind of day yesterday. When I got up yesterday the forecast was for overcast with fog. I was really interested in shooting in the fog so I got charged up… until I looked outside and saw clear skies and no fog. Yep it was a cloudless morning with bright sun. I [...] I’ve been carrying the Lensbaby on my want list for way too long so I finally decided to do something about. I ordered the Lensbaby Composer early in the week and it arrived on my doorstep late yesterday. So of the course, the first order of business for today was going to be to put [...] |
