The title pretty much says it all. My wife and I went for a short walk along our local creek this afternoon. I was looking for an opportunity to play with the Lensbaby Composer and hopefully let the creative juices flow a bit. Other than the creek itself, bare trees and snow, there wasn’t a whole lot going on. But there is an abandoned set of railroad tracks (being converted into a rail-trail) in the same area and it was there that I came across this abandoned old tin shed. I couldn’t help but think “Now there is something completely different for me to work with.” So I made a couple of images using the Canon 30D and Lensbaby Composer handheld.
Image was processed using Nik Dfine, Viveza 2 and Sharpener Pro.
It is different but I kinda like the result.

I like this! Very cool…
I love this idea. I love this photo. We are enjoying a weekend up north, there is a boat dock nearby covered entirely in graffiti from the boaters that dock there. It’s even on the National Register of Historic Places – people have been inscribing their boat names for over 100 years. And I see your photo and I am inspired to try the same with my brand new Lensbaby. But…there’s a -20˚F windchill. Hmm. I’ve got the right clothes – now do I have the right attitude…thinking…
Man, Ed…what a pleasure to stop by after a couple of weeks of de-computerizing. All of your last images are inspiring to me. Excellent, excellent work and Happy New Year to you.
Interesting and very graphical!
Interesting designs and great colors. As a viewer, I still find the lensbaby uncomfortable.

I like it too and it is interesting with the lensbaby focus in and out…. and up-close of the rusty shed is colorful with the graffiti.
I like this shot a lot. And, it has given me an idea for several rusty backgrounds I have been saving.
Happy New Year to you and your wife!
Love it!
Interesting work Ed. If you make the same great strides in 2010 you did in 2009 you will soon be the most famous photographer I know.
You make excellent use of new tools. I feel like I am standing still by comparison.
I really like it. I usually don’t like blurry at both ends but here I think it works. You found an interesting subject and made the most of it, Ed.
