… from our Saturday morning trip to Jacobsburg State Park here in Pennsylvania. In this particular case, I set up the camera directly above the flower and shot straight down at it so you don’t see a stem. It appears to be just floating in air.
Image made using my Canon 30D and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens w/ Canon 500D close-up filter/lens, tripod-mounted.
Hope you enjoy the image.

That’s a beauty! I love the simple elegance of the Daisy.
It makes me feel happy just looking at it! I’ll have to try that sometime!
I love this photo, Ed. Love the focus on the flower and its singularity in the frame…nice capture! ma
That stunning photo makes me remember how many times as a kid I ripped apart daisies saying “he loves me, he loves me not”…. and it didn’t make a bit of difference in the outcome with whomever i was thinking of at the time! Silly girl.
I am enjoying it!! Everything about it is perfect.
The floating effect is beautiful…I love how the long lens flattens perspective.
Hi Ed,
Not that simple, but really wonderful. Gosh you are really talented!
Superb composition Ed!
Lovely. Just lovely.
