Desire. We all have desires. My desire is to establish a part-time nature photography business that will provide an outlet for my creativity as well as supplemental income in my retirement. The picture I keep seeing over and over in my head is one of me working my booth during the art shows on the Village Green in Bar Harbor, Maine. THAT would be heaven. And THAT is my desire.
Did you know that the orange rose symbolizes desire? That is what I sought to capture in this image. To me desire is a softer emotion and in order to capture it, I needed to create a softer, more abstract image. So I opened up the aperture and started working the orange rose looking for the image that whispered “desire” to me. This is what I came up with. Very abstract. Very orange.
